The kids in Room 24 at Pt England School have a message for the adults who think they are in charge of the world. They reckon that some of the adults making decisions in the world right now (not mentioning any names...) are not thinking of future generations.
They have suggestions for looking after the environment, what we should do with the economy, and how people should be behaving.
We hope you enjoy Room 24s pep talk: A Message to the Adults.

Aliens Love Underpants!
Last week, Room 24 went and joined Mrs Stickland and Room 7 for our Tuakana Teina time. We listened to a story about Aliens who love underpants, and then we got to design underpants with our big buddies!
Thanks so much to Mrs Stickland and Room 7 for having us!

Matariki Day Photos
These photos were taken on our Pt England School Matariki Day last Friday. The first photo is of some brave students from Kauri Flats School speaking at our assembly about the flounder project. Then there are some photos of one of our Matariki groups having shared kai. The last photo shows the exhausted kids in Room 24 at the end of the day!

Matariki Day
Last Friday, Pt England School celebrated Matariki with a tuakana teina day. Students worked on a variety of creative projects. One group made a movie about the story of Ranginui and Papatuanuku. They created, performed and recorded their own music, and told the story through sand art.
Here is the final product. Please leave us a comment!

Museum Trip
We have had a busy first week back together! In their last week with Miss Szymanik, Team 2 went to Auckland Museum to explore and learn about Matariki. They had an amazing time and shared what they did in recounts about the trip. Check out their individual blogs to read more about what they got up to!
