Whizz Kids!

This morning we had a prizegiving ceremony for the kids who had made the most improvement on Maths Whizz!

We made the rules that we would not go on Maths Whizz at home, but that we would try to spend 15 minutes of school time on it each school day.

Here are the Whizz kids from week 3:

Introducing Jo Jo!

This term we have welcomed some new people to our class. It is lovely to have Pou, Sabrina, Jonathon, and Anna with us now. They have all settled in beautifully and are doing lots of interesting things at school.

We have also just welcomed a gorgeous, cuddly bunny to Room 10, called Jo Jo! He is being shared around the class and we are learning to look after him. He even came to the zoo with us!

Here is Nyree and Jo Jo.

ANZAC Day Activities

Room 10 has been learning about ANZAC Day, which is on 25th April in our school holidays. We had a look at a fantastic website and learnt about what happened at Gallipoli in World War 1.

Click here to look at the website.

Today we made poppies to remember the people who died in World War 1.

The Treaty of Waitangi by Nyree and Room 10

The Treaty of Waitangi.

The Treaty was a piece of paper that people signed. It is extremely old. It was signed in 1840 by British Crown and the Maori Chiefs. They were trying to work out how to look after and share New Zealand.

The paper that the Treaty is on is very old, damaged and ripped.

The Treaty is an agreement between the British Crown and the Maori people.
